Meet the Team
Lee is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm including Administration, Paraplanning, Compliance, Finance, HR and IT.
Lee has been with the firm since 2012 and has worked in a number of areas within the firm (including administration and paraplanning) during his progression to Operations Director. This means that Lee is familiar with all the processes involved in the advice journey and therefore has the experience to support his colleagues to ensure positive outcomes for our clients.
Michael Saunders DipPFS
Michael has been with the firm since 2020 and has over 25 years of experience as an adviser. Michael has been heavily involved in industry matters through his career, including as Chairman of the Personal Finance Society and working with the Chartered Insurance Institute to set examination questions for various financial advice qualifications.
Chris Cheung ACSI
Portfolio Administration Manager
Chris joined Brunswick in 2016, having worked in the financial services sector for 3 years and has a degree in Financial Economics. Chris is a qualified Investment Manager having attained the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments’ Investment Advice Diploma.
Chris is responsible for the operation of our Discretionary Management Service of client portfolios, placing buys/sells as requested by the client through their adviser to ensure any investment instructions or withdrawal requests are processed in a timely manner. Chris is also responsible for our Bespoke Rebalancing Service which ensures the level of risk applicable to a client’s portfolio is maintained at the agreed level and will also ensure that a client’s valuable tax allowances are utilised wherever possible as part of this valuable service.
Administration Team Leader & Administrator for Richard Bygrave
Warren joined Brunswick in 2014, bringing with him a wealth of industry experience having worked at Aviva (formerly Norwich Union) for 20 years.
As Administration Team Leader, Warren is responsible for supporting his colleagues with any queries/cases as well as working with Lee to oversee and monitor administration processes to ensure they are as efficient as possible and result in the delivery of the highest quality service to our clients.
Administrator for Michael Saunders
Eleanor joined Brunswick in 2022 and has a background in pensions and the implementation of regulatory processes and has been able to transfer the use of these skills in her role as administrator supporting Michael.
Adam joined us in April 2023 looking to begin his career in financial services having achieved impressive qualifications in Finance and Business whilst at college.
Richard Bygrave DipPFS
Director of Financial Advice & Senior Financial Adviser
Richard has been with the firm since 2009 and has over 30 years’ experience as an adviser. As Director of Financial Advice, Richard oversees our adviser team and offers them support in formulating their recommendations alongside managing his own clients to ensure consistent and positive outcomes for all Brunswick clients.
Dena has been with the firm since 2019 and has over 10 years’ experience as an adviser. Dena is a keen networker and has previously been treasurer of Business Networking International (BNI). Dena has also worked alongside local accountancy and will writing firms to assist with financial planning matters outside of the scope of these firms.
Paraplanning Team Leader
Nichola joined Brunswick in 2017 and quickly transitioned into a paraplanning role, drawing on her previous experience as a financial adviser.
As Paraplanning Team Leader, Nichola is responsible for overseeing and supporting our paraplanners to ensure the production and delivery of high quality, bespoke suitability reports, whilst also providing technical support to our adviser team. Nichola also keeps abreast of any regulatory changes to ensure these are reflected in our reports so they remain compliant with industry standards and consistently reviews our paraplanning processes to ensure they are as efficient as possible.
Mark joined the firm in 2009 as a Financial Adviser, having been in the industry for over 25 years, before transitioning into a hybrid Adviser/Paraplanning role in 2014. In 2021, Mark stepped away from his advisory role to focus on paraplanning full time.
Mark draws on his wealth of technical knowledge to support his colleagues, particularly in the area of pension planning and works closely with Nichola on the content of our suitability reports and our paraplanning processes.
Aaron Smith DipPFS
Aaron joined us in January 2023 after a successful career in another industry where he gained extensive experience working with clients. Aaron has been able to transfer these skills into his role as a Financial Adviser, working with clients to ascertain their financial aims and objectives and then formulating financial strategies to ensure positive outcomes.
Nigel Breakell Chartered MCSI
Director & Investment Manager
Nigel Breakell, our lead investment manager, has been managing investments since 2005. In 2009, after secondment to the investment team at Octopus Investments, he returned from London to assist with the development of our Portfolios prior to his appointment as Investment Manager on 26/09/2011.
Nigel regularly features in the prestigious Citywire survey of Investment Managers which covers 15,000 managers in 41 countries. As at June 2020 this survey awarded him an “AA” rating. Effectively this means he is in the top 10% of managers in his sector. Other independent recognition of the performance of Brunswick include:

Daniel Garrard ACSI
Director & Associate Fund Manager
Daniel joined Brunswick in 2019 and has an extensive background in the investment sector having previously worked as a Money Broker, Business Development Manager and Sales Director for a number of investment firms including Deutsche Bank and HBOS. Daniel has completed the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments’ Certificate in Investment Management and works alongside Nigel in managing the Brunswick Portfolios, conducting due diligence on funds of interest and monitoring geo-political factors and their influence on global investment markets. Daniel also acts as the investment specialist for our Advisers; supporting them with any complex investment queries that may arise to help deliver positive outcomes for clients.
Trainee Investment Analyst
Jack joined Brunswick in 2022 and supports Nigel and Daniel on the research of due diligence of funds as well as assisting with the preparation of our Investment Updates. Jack has commenced studying towards the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments’ Investment Advice Diploma and has started to support Chris with the operation of our Discretionary Management Service.
Tom joined Brunswick in 2021 as an Administrator, having graduated from the University of Lincoln with a first-class honours degree in Business and Finance the previous year. Tom joined the paraplanning team in the summer of 2022 and is currently studying towards the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, which will further increase his technical knowledge of the financial services sector.
Administrator for Dena Al-Dossary
A graduate from the University of Kent, Megan joined us in April 2023 looking to embark on a career in financial administration, making use of the customer service and support skills she gained from her employment in retail and prior to that, as a mathematics and pastoral learning coach.
